About my work
My journey into the art of photography began about 10 years ago, being, at first, a semi - councious attempt to describe reality with the precision of an artificial eye, instead of painting, which had been my first interest. Gradually, I became more and more aware of my perception and of its favourite whereabouts - urban spaces and dereliction, signs of time, written virtually everywhere, creating or imposing their influence over the condition of human kind and civilisation. I have also 'wandered about' the art of photojournalism; focusing on people and their stories put into the frame of time; individually or as a group, we are an endless tale. On the same token photography allows me to capture scenes from my own life, and to turn them into a visual diary of the most simple or the most complicated, even intimate moments of my own story. Many of my abstracts are just pieces of reality as seen and captured on the go, many of them are also a result of concious work: creating surreal spaces, contained in one - off instalations, improvised out of random objects of all sorts i.e rubbish, in an effort to create a visual value, then captured on to the film. I am reluctant to use digital cameras or software. My pictures are made using traditional techniques, which give them the most unigue edge as means of processing and achieving the final effect are very vast. Work featured here is only a small example of possibilites for article display.
